01 / ABOUT THE PLACE

About this place

The sweetness of the spiced chai can be adjusted to suit your preference, and some reviewers say it comes in a generous serving. Whether you like it lightly sweetened or distinctly sweet, it is a drink to sip slowly and make your own.

For coffee, look for the blend called “Bitterness and Body”, made with aging beans from Kokuteru-do. The café describes its careful approach: 19 g of beans brewed slowly by flannel drip to yield 150 cc. It is a good choice when you want pronounced body and bitterness. The milk coffee is made by pouring coffee into rich milk that has been whisked by hand, without steam. Choose between coffee led by bitterness and a softer balance with milk.

There is alcohol as well as coffee, and on some days the café is open from 16:00 to 23:00. One visitor described spending a quiet spell reading there. It is an option for a break with a drink in hand, from the afternoon into the evening.
